Background
West Hendon Estate Regeneration is a partnership project between Metropolitan Housing Trust, Barratt Homes and London Borough of Barnet.
The regeneration project will provide up to 2171 new homes including homes for affordable rent, equity share/ low cost home ownership for people on modest incomes and homes for sale. We believe that new homes should be available for a mix of tenures and that communities are more sustainable when housing is provided that meets a range of income needs catering for all life stages.
The Initial Phase of the regeneration started in the autumn of 2010. It will deliver 194 homes, of which 43 will be for affordable rent. Please go to the Initial Phase page for full details on what is being built, how it is being built and how it will affect you.
Regenerating the West Hendon Estate will enable us, with your input, to build a new place for you to be proud of. It will provide new homes and facilities that will encourage improvement in the wider West Hendon area.
